Cranberry-Glazed Roast Turkey with Garlic Herb Butter π¦π✨
This festive and flavorful turkey is coated with a rich garlic herb butter and finished with a sweet-tangy cranberry glaze, making it the perfect holiday centerpiece!
Ingredients:
For the Garlic Herb Butter:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
For the Cranberry Glaze:
- 1½ cups fresh cranberries
- ½ cup orange juice
- ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp orange zest
- ½ tsp cinnamon
For the Turkey:
- 1 whole turkey (12-14 lbs)
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 onion, quartered
- 1 lemon, halved
- 2 sprigs rosemary
Instructions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Turkey:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pat turkey dry, then rub garlic herb butter all over and under the skin. Stuff the cavity with onion, lemon, and rosemary.
2️⃣ Roast the Turkey:
- Place turkey in a roasting pan and add chicken broth.
- Cover loosely with foil and roast for 2½ - 3 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
3️⃣ Make the Cranberry Glaze:
- In a saucepan, simmer cranberries, orange juice, honey, balsamic vinegar, orange zest, and cinnamon until thick.
4️⃣ Glaze & Finish:
- In the last 30 minutes of roasting, brush the turkey with cranberry glaze.
- Roast uncovered until golden brown and the internal temp reaches 165°F (75°C).
