This Mediterranean-inspired dish features juicy, marinated chicken with bold garlic, lemon, and oregano flavors, served with a creamy tzatziki sauce. Perfect with a side of pita and fresh veggies!

Ingredients:

For the Chicken Marinade:

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For the Tzatziki Sauce:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • ½ cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill or mint, chopped
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For Serving:

  • Warm pita bread
  • Sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, and red onions
  • Feta cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1️⃣ Marinate the Chicken:

  • Mix olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, oregano, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Coat the chicken and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for more flavor).

2️⃣ Cook the Chicken:

  • Heat a grill or pan over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.

3️⃣ Make the Tzatziki Sauce:

  • Mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, dill/mint, salt, and pepper. Chill before serving.
